Steven Pynt
Non-Executive Chairman
Mr Pynt has been an independent Non-Executive Director since 2001 and Chairman since 2005. Mr Pynt was until July 2010 a Director of the Perth legal firm McDonald Pynt which he established in 2003. His main area of practice was in commercial law including corporations law, revenue law and contracts.
Mr Pynt was also a member of the Racing Penalties Appeals Tribunal from 1995-2007, Deputy Chairman and then Chairman of the Commercial Tribunal of Western Australia from 1994-2004 and taught Ethics and Professional Responsibility to Articled Law Clerks from 1994-2005.
Mr Pynt is non-Executive Chairman of two other listed public companies and Non-Executive Director of another, and is also Chief Executive Officer of Muzz Buzz Franchising Pty Ltd which operates Australia's largest specialty drive through coffee business.
Mathew Cherian
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Mr Cherian has been in the information technology industry since 1981. In 1985 he established Working Systems Software Pty Ltd in Perth, Western Australia.
Mr Cherian was appointed CEO and Managing Director of the company in January 2002 to re-focus the Group in the healthcare sector. The initial phase culminated with the re-branding of the company as Global Health Limited in December 2007.
Mr Cherian plays an active role in product strategy and the development of overseas markets.
Dr Nathan Pinskier
Non-Executive Director
Dr Pinskier trained as a medical practitioner and has over 25 years’ experience in the primary care sector. For the past 12 years he has been a director of a private general practice company, Healthcare United. He has also worked nationally for a decade as a general practice surveyor (with Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd) and is a surveyor with the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQUA).
Dr Pinskier's interests and expertise in the health sector are in the areas of practice management, practice software, particular information technology, management systems, standards, quality, clinical governance and risk management.
Dr Pinskier was involved in the development and implementation of the information security standards for the general practice sector. Dr Pinskier has also been a member of numerous Commonwealth health-related committees and has worked with industry advisory groups. He has also been a board member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers. In 2007, he was appointed to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) as a sessional panel member.
Dr Pinskier holds a Diploma in Practice Management from the University of New England Partnerships and holds Fellowships with the Australian Association of Practice Managers (AAPM) and the Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care (AAQHC).
Thomas Qureshi
Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director
An Economics and Politics graduate, Mr Qureshi started his professional life as a trainee chartered accountant, with one of world’s top 5 accounting practices (then Touché Ross & Co) in London, United Kingdom.
Switching over to a career opportunity in IT and Computer Sales, then a fast growing industry, he gained valuable IT sales & marketing experience and worked internationally, building his career and holding senior positions with several blue chip sales-driven organisations including Phillips, Unisys, Nixdorf, Group Bull, QMS and Fuji Xerox.
Amongst his previous significant corporate roles, Mr Qureshi was Australian Managing Director and Regional Manager Asia/Pacific, and then Vice-President of Sales in the USA (for QMS Inc.) and General Manager for Australia and New Zealand for Fuji Xerox Print Systems. Subsequently he spent some time in management consulting, mostly in organisational development (sales & marketing), strategic planning and change management roles.
With significant sales, marketing, planning and strong general management experience spanning over two decades, gained in the USA, Europe, and more recently in Asia/Pacific and Australia; together with post-graduate business qualifications behind him, Mr Qureshi brings well-honed skill-sets and a proven capability to develop Global Health Limited as a strong sales and marketing focused organisation.
