• This is a guide to the minimum requirements for MasterCare.
  • It is recommended that clients always liaise with Global Health prior to purchasing MasterCare hardware and software.
  • Larger sites may require dedicated Application and Database servers.
  • A Medicare PKI Location Certificate is required for secure messaging of discharge referrals.
  • It is recommended that Production and Test/Training environments be hosted on separate servers. Should this not be the case, virtual machines must be setup for Test & Training environments. Licensing requirements should take this choice into consideration.

 1.  MasterCare requires a pure 32-bit installation
 2.  Small Business Server is not currently supported

  • Pentium 4 2GHz / Intel Dual Core / AMD Dual Core CPU or higher
  • 512MB RAM or higher
  • 1024x768 resolution or higher  

 

Network:

  • TCP/IP and HTTP
  • A network infrastructure capable of running at gigabit speeds is recommended (eg gigabit switches and CAT5-e)
  • Where the workstations are separated from the server by a WAN/VPN, a minimum 2M symmetrical connection is required

Internet Access:

  • Applicable for any real time Internet access if B2B features such as ReferralNet
  • Internet connection with a static IP address for remote support is required (Remote Desktop / Terminal Services over a VPN is recommended)
