Global Health Limited (GLH) today announced that its Mental Health Electronic Medical Record, MHAGIC (Mental Health Assessment Generation and Information Collection) has been given an Outstanding Achievement rating by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS).
In a recent accreditation conducted by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards, ACT Health was awarded a four-year accreditation for reaching a high level of achievement.
In the media release from the office of Chief Minister Jon Stahnhope MLA, ACT Health Minister Katy Gallagher MLA gave this quote:
"The results for Mental Health ACT are particularly pleasing as the Outstanding Achievement rating for its electronic health record - MHAGIC - recognises that it is now an industry leader.”
"The assessors were impressed with Mental Health ACT's recovery model and found it to be a superior service with enthusiastic and visionary senior management and excellent systems in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of consumers, staff and visitors."
MHAGIC is one of the earliest team-based, multi-discipline Shared Electronic Medical Record ever deployed in Australia. MHAGIC was initially rolled-out to the public sector, across ACT Health in both community health and hospital settings. Following this, MHAGIC gained market acceptance across the private sector with over 70 private and government agencies now on board.
MHAGIC is the flagship module of Global Health’s MasterCare Shared EMR platform. MasterCare provides a secure, role-based view of clinical information, aggregated through a patient’s journey across multiple clinical interventions in the community and acute care facilities.
Over the past 12 months, Global Health have incorporated their ReferralNet platform within MasterCare and the MHAGIC module for secure messaging of clinical information across the team of care providers and electronic claiming functionality for Medicare and other funding sources.
Global Health CEO, Mathew Cherian said, “We are quite unique in the Australian market - offering a suite of market-leading solutions across multiple segments of the market. Inter-connectivity is the major impediment to e-health take-up and our unique presence across acute and primary care segment means we are well-placed to support the e-health momentum in Australia.” Read the full media release on ACT Health’s accreditation
