A better way to manage and keep track of patient referrals

MasterCare® eRMS (electronic Referral Management System) is an application that manages the referral traffic within a hospital or day surgery.

It enables healthcare organisations to efficiently track, process and manage both inbound and outbound patient referrals including pathology and radiology results.

Benefits

  • Automates and streamlines the referral management process
  • Eliminates the manual tasks associated with processing illegible faxed referrals
  • Monitor referral information from any computer within the organisation
  • Ability to set the priority level of inbound referrals as part of the triage process
  • Manage and update the status of each referral (pending, accepted, rejected, expired, cancelled or final)
  • Notifications automatically sent to the referring GP once a referral status is updated

Features

  • Browser-based
  • Uses ReferralNet to ensure the secure delivery of all messages
  • Real-time status of referrals
  • Referrals are stored against the patient record in the MasterCare database
  • If the hospital’s patient administration system (PAS) can accept messages, referral information can be sent to the hospital’s PAS by HL7
