Yes. It is possible to send messages to a provider who has not yet registered for a ReferralNet account. However, it is essential that the provider has a valid HeSA Public Certificate and you know (or can obtain) their e-mail address. When a message is successfully sent, the recipient receives a new message notification email. Unregistered recipients are automatically registered with ReferralNet to ensure they have immediate access to their messages. Automatically registered recipients can add/update their profile if they choose to.
You do not need to search for the recipient's HeSA public certificate as ReferralNet seamlessly takes care of this on your behalf. During the send process, if the recipient's public certificate is not in your certificate store, then ReferralNet will automatically download the certificate from the HeSA Public Directory website. If the recipient does not have a valid HeSA certificate, the message cannot be sent using ReferralNet and you will be notified accordingly.
The Invite a Colleague function is easily accessible throughout the ReferralNet website. Click on this link and you will be asked to enter your contact's Name, Email Address and your Personal Message
