Global Health Limited (ASX:GLH) (“Global Health” or “the Group”) is pleased to announce a new contract supporting Baby Coming You Ready?, a culturally safe digital platform focused on improving antenatal and postnatal care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
The agreement includes a recurring annual revenue of $31,548 including GST. The deployment of Global Health’s HotHealth and ReferralNet platforms will support BCYR in harnessing digital solutions to increase accessibility of culturally sensitive health services for Indigenous Australians.
Strengthening Indigenous maternal health through digital innovation
Baby Coming You Ready? is an innovative and culturally appropriate digital service that empowers Indigenous families by enhancing communication between expectant parents and healthcare professionals. Designed with cultural safety at its core, the platform supports early engagement, facilitates trust-building, and enables more effective care planning throughout the antenatal and postnatal journey.
The initiative, originally developed by Murdoch University also forms part of two other research projects – Replanting the Birthing Trees implemented by the University of Melbourne and ICARE, implemented by SAMHRI in Adelaide. The Baby Coming You Ready, Replanting the Birthing Trees and ICARE projects all aim to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families by bridging the health disparity gap in the crucial first 2,000 days of a child’s life.
Global Health’s HotHealth platform will be used to support the Baby Coming You Ready picture-based assessments, creating an accessible and interactive experience for families. ReferralNet will ensure secure, streamlined sharing of sensitive clinical information across multidisciplinary teams involved in family care and maternal health.
Implementation across states
The deployment will in the next 2 years span across 21 organisations, with services located in Western Australia, Queensland South Australia and Victoria. The digital rollout will help clinicians deliver care that is not only clinically effective but also culturally responsive, aligning with national priorities around Closing the Gap.
